HIRAETH

Hiraeth is a self contained landing page replacement for SillyTavern, designed to supersede the default empty state with an interface that is calmer, more readable, and more atmospherically coherent. It combines animated gradient environments, time aware greetings, a configurable recent chat panel, and an integrated character browser with alphabetical grouping and search, so that navigation begins from a more intentional and information rich surface. The extension emphasizes a translucent frosted glass visual system rather than card heavy fan interface conventions; background presets, local image uploads, dim overlays, layout alignment, clocks, custom quotations, and sub greeting behavior all persist through a dedicated settings layer. It remains lightweight by relying on CSS driven motion rather than heavy rendering pipelines; it also respects reduced motion preferences and inherits the active SillyTavern typography, which makes it feel native rather than bolted on.
